Transformative Skincare Routine For Clearing Acne

I have discovered a lot of new amazing brands recently and they have made their way into my daily skin routine, which is why I wanted to share these newfound products with you, so you can fall in love with them too!

This routine is focused on: killing off bacteria causing the acne, managing oil production, reducing the appearance of pores, reducing inflammation, and these are all things you want to focus on when using an acne prone skincare regime. 

MEDIK8 SURFACE RADIANCE CLEANSER

This cleanser has been a favourite of mine for over a year now. I love that it is an exfoliating cleanser but it is gentle enough to use in your routine everyday, and you can still balance it with other more in depth exfoliators. This is a gel to foam cleanser so you add water to the gel, and as you rub your hands together it transforms into a foam before your very eyes. A foam cleanser is what you need when you have acne/oily skin because foam allows for a deep thorough cleanse, as it very easily slips into your pores helping to dislodge build up and congestion hanging around in there. 

I use this before morning and evening. If I have wore makeup that day I will use the Lipid Balance Cleansing Oil by Medik8 before I use the Surface Radiance Cleanser, as the oil helps remove the makeup, and allows for the perfect combination of products for a deep cleanse, assuring that your skin is left squeaky clean, perfect for applying the rest of your skincare regime. 

SKIN BETTER SCIENCE ALPHARET EXFOLIATING PEEL PADS

I have been using these peel pads 2-3 times per week as a exfoliating treatment. This has been especially fantastic as I have had a breakout on my chin recently that has needed extra attention, and these peel pads have been life changing. They are individually wrapped pads that are soaked with Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid and Salicylic Acid for a triple acid target for your skin. When you have acne this is caused by a blockage of your pores, and so using a treatment like this helps dissolve the build up in the pores causing the acne, and so its a fantastic resource to have if you are someone who is acne prone. I also love how travel friendly these pads are due to them being individually wrapped, it's perfect for staycations or longer holidays.  

CURRENT BODY ANTI-BLEMISH LED PEN

This is a targeting affordable LED pen which uses blue and red light to target the bacteria causing the acne, and to reduce inflammation. You pop it over the spot and hold it there for three minutes, and you use this once per day. This has been a great staple when I need it to help target a breakout, its very affordable compared to LED face masks, and it's incredibly travel friendly, and has taken up full residence in my everyday skincare bag, so I can grab it when and where I need it. ESSE CLARIFYING SERUM 

I have absolutely fallen in love with this brand recently, their whole brand focuses on keeping your Skin Microbiome healthy and thriving with an increase of good bacteria on the skin, and so Esse's products are all so amazing for the health and wellbeing of your actual skin health as a whole. This serum in particular has been fantastic, not only does it feel luxurious when you apply it but it is also essentially three products in one. It has Niacinamide (reduces inflammation), Salicylic acid (targets and helps dissolve build up), and Pre/Probiotics to help that healthy bacteria thrive. 

ESSE OMEGA LIGHT MOISTURISER 

This is such an amazing moisturiser that I am obsessed with, this brand ESSE has a strong contender for becoming my new favourite skincare brand. This moisturiser is full of Omega 3 which is essential for your skin health, the moisturiser dry's matte and this also comes in 5x 10ml small tubs which again makes it so easy to travel with! The hydration this gives your skin is unparalleled, and I love that it doesn't feel like you are drowning in lots of products afterwards too, which a lot of brands do feel like, especially when its comes to moisturisers. 

MEDIK8 RAPID ACTION BLEMISH SOS TARGET GEL 

This is an absolute staple to have in your skincare regime, regardless of being acne prone or not, we all get spots now and again, and so having something like this where it is a targeted spot gel can come in very handy. This spot gel I won't use everyday but it is great when you need it, and I have found myself reaching for this product time and time again when I have had a small breakout. 

These products last you 3-4 months in total (LED pen lasting much longer), and so when you break down what it would cost you for the full routine into monthly or even daily costs (approx £1 per day)  it really isn't a lot to pay to help keep your skin healthy. Having a solid amazing and transformational routine like this can really impact how you feel about yourself too.
