I hear on social media all of the time that "diet doesn't affect your skin", and so as a Skin Health Specialist and qualified Nutrition Advisor I wanted to clear things up because the reality is diet plays a crucial role in your skin health!
There are two major pathways for ageing:
Chronological and Biological.
Chronological ageing is how long you have been alive for with the passing of time.
Biological ageing is how healthy or not you are at the cellular level caused by genetics, diet amongst other factors.
This already shows how important diet is to your skin health and how much control you actually really have when it comes to how your skin is!
So you might be thinking... "but what about skincare? isn't that enough?" and unfortunately no. Skincare is great because we are most consistent with skincare but your skin is not a stomach, and does now have the correct equipment to act as one.
